The most interesting way to get from point A to point B is not necessarily a straight line. This multifuntioning Connector space spanning 75 feet from the Main House to the Garage and Guest House is flanked by the pool and deck area with double sliding doors and windows that run along either side creating a seamless connection with the outdoors. One of the most interesting aspects of this space is its generous length and the gentle curve of the ceiling that echoes the profile of a boat hull. Vineyard beach sand and salty air definitely effect the types of products we are able to use in our designs. Our team recognizes the importance of specifying the appropriate materials for the right setting. There are four major material elements that bring this space together. Cedar boards wrap the walls, ceiling and a section of the floor. Sea Stone tiles were used as an alternative to stone; a mixture of natural fossil shells and other aggregates varying from piece to piece. We added blue sea glass for the perfect mix of subtle interest and a bit of color. The Wet Bar features a Bio Glass counter that catches the afternoon sunlight and the brushed white bronze Rocky Mountain Hardware and Lighting were a great touch for this sophisticated family beach house.
